Original Teaser trailer main pitch.- 'Dead North'

Detailed Plot:

A group of young adults, male and female from London go on a weekend away, where they drive up to the Yorkshire Dales and beauty hotspot Ilkley. The group come to a small village ( Addingham ) just over the hill from Ilkley, which unaware to them has become abandoned from an infection throughout the population caught from dead animals. This small compact village is now the residence of infected humans who have been bitten by these 'zombie' animals, who are in the process of turning into zombies themselves.

The group stop in the village to find someone to ask for directions, they walk into a ghost-like pub where people are sat around eating in silence, these people are infected. The group are suspicious and concerned, they are greeted by a bartender, with a glazed over expression and creepy attitude. They ask for directions and get no response and are oblivious to the individuals in the pub around them who are eating raw meat, an obvious symbol of insanity.

The group leave, they walk to the car and two dead animals under the wheel of the car (they weren't there before). The car drives on down an abandoned road, sees a person stood with their back to them. They ask this person for directions, the person turns around looking dead like and zombified. This leads the group to drive away quickly, where they end up in the middle of nowhere near a forested area. Furthermore one of the members of the group wonders of to find help, they get lost and are chased through the wood/forest area. Leading to them being bitten by a zombie, where the last shot ends on her falling on the floor.

New coursework project: A teaser trailer or short film production.

Instead of producing a music video and exploring that media within groups, I am on the other hand working on a production task on my own.
A choice of two briefs was given:
(1) a short film in its entirety of around 5 minutes
(2) a teaser trailer for a new feature film
In both cases additional print texts are also required, creating a package rather than the single text created at AS.

Practice pitch for group exercise.

TEENAGE DIRTBAG- WHEATUS. (wiki).

Idea: Narrative and Concept.
Stereotypical character of a loser/waste of space (main character). Male character, medium hight, clothes too big for him, longish scruffy hair and hand-me downs.
This character is in love with a girl (popular and pretty), her boyfriend is a stereotypical Jock.
Scenes: Main character walking the hallway singing, Jock pushing him out the way, He drops his books infront of girl, watches the girl and jock get into the car and drive away.
Perhaps scenes of him daydreaming about him and the girl being together (Prom)
Easy to do - film around school, young cast within media studies group, idea links in to the lyrics.
Very easy to achieve, not very time consuming in the short time period we had to film and cheap.

lyrics

                                                  Main Female character.

Main male character: Teenage Dirtbag.
