EMPIRE (online magazine website)
Is a british magazine, published monthly by Bauer Consumer Media (online website). From the issue in 1989 was edited by Barry Mchllheney and published by 'Emap'  (online website). It is the biggest selling film magazine in Britain, consistently selling out it's nearest rival Total Film and is also published in Russia, Australia and Turkey. Empire organised the national Empire awards, which was sponsored in 2009 by Sony Ericsson, however now is sponsored by Jameson. The awards are voted for by the readers of the magazine (wiki)
Regular features.

It reviews both Mainstream and Art films, but feature articles concentrate on the former. Empire has some unique regular features, as well as film news, previews and reviews it features a transcript from a notable film scene 'A Classic Scene'.
There is a regular Top 10 features list which is empires top-10 choice of something film related. Readers are encouraged to write in and tell them if they agree or disagree. (wiki)

Total Film (online magazine website)
Published 13 times a year by Future Publishing. Offers a range of features from film, DVD & blue-ray. Editor in chief goes by the name of Aubrey Day (PR week) and is one of the largest circulation English speaking film magazines in the world. The key features within the magazines include Dialogue (the section where readers can interact through the magazine within letters and emails), Buzz (the news section which provides details on upcoming films and ''sneak peaks'', Agenda (this section offers films which are less mainstream and considered for the sharper movie fan),Screen (this is the main cinema reviews section) and The Total Film Quiz.

Evaluation of Total Film: A magazine which I would choose to feature my film over Empire. This is generally because they seem to provide for the more edgy low budget film considering their 'Agenda' section which my teaser trailer for the film I would make would fit this description. The target audience also fits my intended audience, mainly a male dominated audience aged 18-35.

  1. Vital you state your source EVERY time! Your slight rewriting of the wiki has confused it...not 'selling out' but outselling! When you're posting, even a draft, take the time to find, save and upload (don't copy/paste; that ends up leaving a blank space) relevant images. Also, create post, publish then go back and add 'draft' to post title - otherwise the word draft is permenantly in the post link

  2. need to change blog settings: UK time (seems to be on US time) and 'always moderate comments' (just leave word verification off)
pop in tomorrow if you're unsure how, will only take 2 mins to show you
